Farmers Bank & Trust is pleased to announce Chance Tharp as Director of Corporate Banking. Based in Little Rock, Tharp will lead the growth of the corporate banking division and work alongside market teams across Arkansas, Texas, and Oklahoma to deepen commercial relationships and expand opportunities for businesses throughout the Bank’s footprint.
Two Decades of Commercial Banking Experience
A native of Heber Springs, Arkansas, Tharp brings 20 years of financial services experience, with a background spanning commercial and industrial credit underwriting, equipment finance relationship management, and commercial relationship management. As Director of Corporate Banking, he will help shape the division’s strategic direction, including the origination, underwriting, and structuring of commercial and industrial loan opportunities, while also expanding ancillary commercial products and revenue opportunities.

As Farmers Bank & Trust continues to strengthen its presence in Central Arkansas, Chief Banking Officer Chad Rawls said attracting proven leaders in the market remains a priority.

Leadership and Community Involvement
Tharp earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Oklahoma State University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He is a Certified Treasury Professional and stays active in the community as President of the Historical Arkansas Museum Foundation, a member of the Advisory Council for the University of Arkansas at Little Rock School of Business and a National Advisor for The National High School Basketball Association.
He and his wife, Cara, have been married for 20 years and have two children, Marlowe and Bramwell.
